Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

World Music Day takes place every year on June 21. It is a celebration of music across the world for the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year. In more than 100 countries, musicians of all ages perform at free musical events, singing and playing for everyone to enjoy.

The concept of music day was origin  by French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, and by Maurice Fleuret, and was first celebrated in Paris in 1982.

Over 32 countries celebrate this day in their own way. Musicians organise concerts in parks, train stations, museums and all the other public places. On this day, let's celebrate the World Music Day by knowing some of the most popular  musicians who are respected for the brilliant and soothing music they have given us.
