Reuters reported on Thursday that Adidas has initiated an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior by artist Kanye West.

The German sporting equipment manufacturer terminated its contract with West last month after his antisemitic tweets generated outrage.

Adidas says it launched the investigation after receiving an anonymous letter containing multiple complaints against the musician.

Following an article in Rolling Stone detailing alleged instances of inappropriate behavior by Kanye West toward current and prospective employees, an investigation has been launched. Rolling Stone referenced interviews with over a dozen former Yeezy and Adidas employees.

Former squad members allegedly addressed an anonymous letter to Adidas in which they claimed that corporate executives were aware of the rapper's actions but turned a "blind eye" and "turned off their moral compass."

"At this time, it is unclear whether the allegations mentioned in an anonymous letter are accurate," an Adidas spokeswoman told Reuters. "However, we take these allegations extremely seriously and have decided to immediately initiate an independent investigation into the matter to resolve them."

Last month, West generated anger when he stated in an interview that the Abraham Accords between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain was signed because Trump's son-in-law and former White House senior adviser Jared Kushner wanted to "make money" from the arrangement.

In an apparent antisemitic Twitter tirade, he later threatened to go "death con 3" on Jews. West then argued that he could not be antisemitic since "black people are genuinely Jewish."

Several corporations, including Creative Artists Agency, Foot Locker, and Apple Music, severed connections with Kanye West in response to his statements.
