A man who vanished while tubing down a river roughly 80 kilometers west of Halifax is being sought after.

According to the police, three males were tubing in the Gold River on the South Shore of Nova Scotia on Monday when their tube capsized.

The third man was last seen floating downstream as the other two managed to swim ashore.

According to the RCMP, the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, first responders, and police aviation services are all involved in the search operation.

Over the weekend, the region experienced heavy rain, with some areas of the province receiving up to 250 millimeters of rain.

Two of the four persons who went missing on Saturday northwest of Halifax after their two vehicles were swept away by floodwaters have been discovered by police.
