According to officials, a Russian airstrike on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro injured twenty persons, including five children.

The regional governor of Dnipropetrovsk, Serhiy Lysak, stated on Saturday that three children were in "serious condition" after the attack on a residential neighborhood.

He added via Telegram that 17 individuals were being treated in hospitals.

According to media reports, four individuals were rescued from the debris in the Pidhorodnenska area.

Lysak stated that another juvenile was probably still entrapped.

According to social media reports, a Russian missile caused the explosion and affected an emergency services facility.

Ukrainian military officials provided no corroboration of a missile attack.

Also, writing on Telegram, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the explosion occurred between two residential structures.

"Unfortunately, there are people under the rubble," wrote Zelenskyy. Russia once again demonstrates that it is a terrorist state.

Moscow disputes that its military targets civilians.

Images shared on social media showed rescue teams working at a smoldering, shattered building surrounded by twisted mounds of building materials.

In recent weeks, Russian air assaults over Ukraine have intensified, as have incursions in the opposite direction.

Saturday, Russian officials reported that Ukrainian shelling killed two persons in the border region of Belgorod, which has been the target of repeated attacks this week. The most recent death brings the total number of fatalities in Belgorod border villages this week to seven.

Kyiv has stated for months that it is preparing for a significant counteroffensive against Moscow's occupation forces in an effort to reclaim territory lost since the February 2022 Russian invasion.
