60 Years of diplomatic relations celebrates between Nepal and Australia

On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Australia, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Marise Payne, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia exchanged messages of felicitations expressing their happiness on the excellent state of bilateral relations.

In the messages, both the Foreign Ministers have expressed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and people based on mutual trust, understanding and cooperation.

HE Australian ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Peter Budd highlighted different development projects carried out by Australian government to Nepal.

The relationship between two nation is long-standing built with strong community partnerships with people to people link connected in different regions, he says. Speaking at the program Hon'ble Foreign Minister Mr. Pradeep Gyawali expressed relations between Nepal and Australia is enjoying mutual understanding and excellent bilateral relations.

He added, both the countries shared special friendly relationship since establishment of diplomatic ties on Feb 1960. According to the Australian Embassy, members of the Council of Ministers, advisors to the Prime Minister, heads of diplomatic missions, high officials of the Government of Nepal, Officials from different diplomatic missions in Nepal and other prominent figures of Nepalese society were invited to the program.

Nepal and Australia established diplomatic relations on 15 February 1960.
