The second Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden moved from Michigan to Miami according to a Tuesday statement from the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.

According to the Commission on Presidential Debates, “the Oct. 15 debate was initially slated to be held at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. University of Michigan President Mark Schlissel cited concerns over the coronavirus pandemic and the work facing the university to protect students and staff during the approaching fall semester.”

“The debate is now going to be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami,” the commission said.

The first presidential debate is scheduled for Sept. 29 at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., with the final encounter at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 22.

The two other presidential debates and the one vice-presidential showdown are expected to proceed as planned.
