Nepal: Government decided to extend lockdown till July 22 amid pandemic

The government of Nepal decided to extend lockdown till July 22 on the same ongoing format due to rising cases of coronavirus day-by-day.

Nepal Government on Monday late evening announced the decision to extend lockdown.

Nepal on June 15 had changed the format of lockdown by allowing businesses to open by maintaining the rules of social distancing, wearing masks, private vehicles on odd and even number basis, and passenger limitations.

According to the Cabinet Minister of Nepal, Some businesses will remain open expect educational institutions, religious places, gym halls, and other places of recreational activities and also the border areas. Also, vehicles and flights will open for emergency purposes only.

Nepal on Monday has reported 476 new cases of COVID-19 with 1 new death taking the total number of cases to 13,248 and death toll to 29. Also, 3,134 people have successfully recovered from the virus.
