De Kock, Laura Wolvaardt claimed the honors in 2020 CSA Awards

Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock claimed the top honors at the 2020 South African Cricket Awards, a ceremony that’s was held on Saturday,4 July. Quinton, the captain of the ODI team, becoming only the sixth player to claim the honor for the second time.

On the women's side, Laura Wolvaardt claimed the top honors. The player was honored at a virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, according to an African newspaper.

Many events were canceled this year because of a pandemic. Africa was scheduled to play three ODIs against India last March. The first game was canceled without a toss due to rain. The other two games had to be postponed due to coronavirus.

Other players to have won the award twice are Jacques Kallis in 2004 and 2011, Hashim Amla in 2010 and 2013, Makhaya Ntini in 2005 and 2006, AB de Villiers in 2014 and 2015, Kagiso Rabada in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
