Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool continued their relentless pursuit of a Premier League points recorded at a 3-1 victory over Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

As the reds braced into a two-goal lead inside eight minutes as Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah kissed the ball into the net.

Both teams had great chances after the half time, but Salah’s second struck settles the contest on 76 minutes when he headed in from a corner.

However, Brighton manager Graham Potter, whose side showed a positive reaction towards preserving their top-flight status, pulled one back before the breakthrough Leandro Trossard’s neat finish.

The result moves Liverpool onto 92 points after 34 games – and with four games left to play, the chance to set a new English all time-record.
