US bans Pakistan’s International Flights after rumors over pilots' fake license

The Department of Transportation of the United States has banned Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights from operating regarding rumors to the fake pilot licenses.

The US on Thursday announced that it has suspended Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) charter flights over concerns with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding Pakistani pilot certification.

PIA now has been facing huge financial losses after a fatal crash on May 22 this year that killed 98 people onboard.

At least, 262 airline pilots grounded by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority for having fake licenses, 141 pilots were from PIA.

On Friday, Ethiopia also asked the Pakistan government to verify the licenses of Pakistani pilots serving there.
