Famous Tollywood actor Jaya Prakash Reddy passed away early Tuesday morning. The 74-year old actor died of a heart attack.
He collapsed on the commode in the washroom at his Guntur residence and died instantly.
Family members rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the death of the actor, who created a special place for himself in film-land through his inimitable dialogue delivery and mannerisms. The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
Jayaprakash Reddy, popularly known as JP, began his career as a school teacher. His passion for acting drove him towards the stage and he played varied roles in countless dramas. He then attracted the attention of the Telugu film industry and a variety of roles came his way.
Reddy was survived by a wife and a son, family sources said.
