Federal Prosecutors who claimed the pro-Trump mob has planned assassination of officials at the Capitol have now backed away from the claim. Prosecutors who initially said there is "strong evidence" that the pro-Trump mob had a plot to "capture and assassinate officials" now say there is no "direct evidence".

A federal prosecutor wrote in his memo about the presence of strong evidence against the 'QAnon Shaman' Jacob Chansley planning to "capture and assassinate officials" during the Capitol Hill riots.

But during the hearing, another prosecutor said that there is no 'direct evidence' of the assassination plot.

Chansley has been denied bail by the district court by Magistrate Judge Deborah Fine. She denied Chansley's defender's claim of he being a mere protestor saying, "This is not a protest, this is a riot, this is an insurrection."

She said that she has"no confidence" that he would follow court orders to voluntarily appear for trial.
