Government dissolved in Kuwait, King accepts the resignation

The government has been dissolved in Kuwait after Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah's resignation has been approved by the Kin, Monday.

Prime Minister Sabah submitted his resignation to the King of Kuwait on January 13. Officials of the royal palace informed that preparations to form another cabinet are underway.

The Prime Minister had informed at the cabinet meeting that he was about to resign as the relationship between the National Assembly and the Council of Ministers had deteriorated.

He explained to the Deputy Prime Minister and the ministers about the political situation and indicated that they were now on leave.

He has been leading the Kuwaiti government since December 14, 2020.
