An Ohio State student was reportedly killed in a freak accident when her head got crushed between her car door and a toll booth in a parking lot.

23-year old 'social work' student at Ohio State, Vanessa Strauss, was leaving the parking garage  in Downtown Columbus at about 11:37 p.m. when the accident occurred, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

While trying to pay for parking, she dropped her card and accidentally stepped on the 'accelerator', leaning outside of the car to get the card. The car moved forward wedging her between her car door and the toll booth, according to the video citation by the paper.

She was found in an 'unresponsive' state at about 5 a.m. the next morning by a security officer.
