An Indian man was killed by his own cock fitted with a knife for an illegal cockfight.

The owner died on his way to the hospital after he was stabbed by the cock as it tried to escape him. The man died due to excessive loss of blood.

Local police are now looking for more than a dozen men involved in an event that took place in the Telangana state of India, earlier this week.

The cock was held at the local police station before being transferred to a farm.
