A sixth-grade girl brought a gun to school, Thursday morning, and shot two students and a custodian before being disarmed by her teacher.

Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson says the girl pulled a handgun from her backpack and fired multiple rounds inside and outside Rigby Middle School

Officials said that the three are expected to survive and they were shot at their extremities.

The incident happened at around 9 am on Thursday morning.

Authorities said a female teacher disarmed the girl, with out giving much details.

Authorities also say the motive of the attack is being investigated,
