Not 15 kilometers from the Belgian border, Dutch police have discovered “the largest and most professional production location of crystal meth ever found in the Netherlands.”

After a thorough study of encrypted chat communications, the finding was made. They discovered two linked warehouses when they raided the premises. A 62-year-old Polish guy has been apprehended and detained.

The raid took place between Thursday and Friday night, although the information was only recently released. According to local accounts, a company that specializes in inventing and dismantling such installations spent the remainder of the night assessing what had been discovered.

The service, according to a spokeswoman, is the largest and most professional the country has ever seen. The chemicals seized by police are expected to be enough to make 100 kilograms of crystal meth per day, worth more than €1 million per day.

One officer projected that the disassembly would take the remainder of the weekend now that it had started.

“Given the size and scope of the event, this will almost certainly last until Sunday,” they said.

The discovery was made near Nederweert, a town in the Dutch province of Limburg, some 15 kilometers from the Belgian province of the same name.

Crystal meth, often known as methamphetamine, is a central nervous system stimulant that has few medicinal uses but is created in large amounts by criminals. In the television series Breaking Bad, the drug was a crucial storyline component.

In modest dosages, it improves mood, but in higher levels, it can produce paranoia, psychoses, and seizures. Furthermore, it is highly addictive, posing the risk of obsessive use.
