Authorities claim the ex-husband of Britney Spears was arrested while crashing her wedding in southern California.

Thursday, at about 2:00 p.m., officers from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of trespassing, according to Captain Cameron Henderson. He stated that the pop singer's ex-husband, Jason Alexander, was held at the ceremony.

According to Henderson, Alexander was arrested after detectives discovered that he was wanted for arrest in another county.

Alexander aired a live video from his Instagram account when he approached the event security earlier on Thursday. He assured them again that Spears had invited him as he walked around what appeared to be a mostly empty but adorned mansion and grounds.

In 2004, Alexander, who was temporarily married to Spears, his boyhood buddy, remarked, "She is my first and only wife." They were married for only 55 hours.

He stated in the video, "I am her first husband." I have come to crash the wedding.

According to Variety, authorities were still investigating the incident and determining whether more charges would be filed against Alexander regarding the trespassing claim.

Spears was married to dancer Kevin Federline for two years, with whom she shares two 14-year-old sons.

According to reports, Spears and her fiance Sam Asghari were expected to marry on Thursday. In 2016, the couple met on the set of a music video. Before Spears won a legal struggle with her family and was released from a 13-year conservatorship in November, they announced their engagement in September last year.
