The Los Angeles Police Department has concluded its investigation into Anne Heche's August 5 automobile crash into a Los Angeles residence.

Heche, 53 years old, is brain dead and on life support for organ donation evaluation.

"As of today, no further investigative efforts will be conducted in this case "Friday, the department declared. "Any information or records requested previous to this turn of events will continue to be collected when they arrive and incorporated into the overall case as a matter of formality. When a criminal suspect's warrant expires, we do not submit the case for filing consideration."

According to the detectives investigating the accident, Heche's blood sample included narcotics. She has been hospitalized at a burn facility in Los Angeles.
