A man detained in San Francisco as authorities find chemicals to make explosive

A man has been detained from Sanfrancisco by San Francisco Police department on Friday at approximately 5:11 pm(PST) after chemicals to make explosives were found.

"On Jan. 15 2021 at approximately 5:11 pm, we responded to the 600 block of Gilman Ave to assist Federal Agents with an investigation. FBI agents on scene located chemicals used to make explosives. The resident of an RV was detained and nearby residents were evacuated." SFPD informed via a tweet.

It also informed that the evacuated residents are receiving the required assistance along with temporary shelter.

San Francisco Police's EOD unit and San Francisco Fire department were the responders to the scene.

Since the case is still under investigation no other details have been released by SFPD as of now.
