President Biden's Constant cherished companion dies at thirteen

US President Joe Biden and First lady Jill Biden announced late Saturday that their "constant cherished companion for the last thirteen years," Champ passed away at the White House.

Joe and Jill said in a statement, “Our hearts are heavy today as we let you all know that our beloved German shepherd, Champ, passed away peacefully at home.”

“In our most joyful moments and our most grief-stricken days, he was there with us, sensitive to our every unspoken feeling and emotion. We love our sweet, good boy and will miss him always,” they said.

Champ, a German Shephard was adopted by the president in 2008 when he was Vice President for the Obama Administration. 

Biden had two pets Champ and Major. Major is a young pup and still accompanying the President and the first lady.
